06/21/2021 - All-In Membership - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Caden is a class of 2022 Catcher prospect. He showed off very good athleticism for the position. Behind the plate, he did a good job of staying athletic and relaxed. Created momentum to throw and had throw downs as low as 2.09 seconds. Showed quick blocking actions and the ability to work well laterally. Had feel for the pocket when catching as well as working his thumb underneath the baseball. At the plate, he hit from an athletic stance. Did a good job of keeping his hands and barrel inside the baseball. Showed some pull side power as well as having exit velos as high as 85 MPH. Caden is a bright young prospect that we hope continues to develop as he works towards college.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
