Official Scouting Report

  • OF/RHPPosition Projection

08/08/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Tomball (Houston), TX Caeleb is an OF/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. Tall frame lean build with strength present and plenty of room to develop. Ran a 6.71 60-yard dash. In the OF, he starts with quick/fluid footwork and ability to cover ground in all directions. He gets good reads off of bat and creates good fielding angles as he works behind the ball. Good gather off the left foot with a clean transfer and long arm action. Accurate/on-line throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 86mph into infield. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher works exclusively from the stretch. He works with good tempo and has a loose/quick arm . Separates his hands on time and extends out front. Attacks hitters with his FB that sits 77-78mph, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed with some tailing action. FB was best pitch during his bullpen. A right-handed hitter, he hits from an upright and square stance. A balanced swing, with good hip turn, and intent in swing. He gets extended out front as he hit hard line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 80mph during BP. As he continues to develop and mature, we see him having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
