Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 2B/RHPPosition Projection

09/12/2021 - All-In Membership - Frederick, MD Caiden is a 2B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2022. In the field, Caiden makes the routine plays and works to make accurate throws to his target. Removing his glove flip can help Caiden field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He shows plus barrel control and sprays the ball to all fields. Caiden can generate more pop off the barrel by driving his lower half more. On the mound, Caiden gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He stays inline toward the plate and keeps his eyes on target throughout his delivery. Caiden operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 65mph with cutting action. Knuckleball sits from 52-53mph with tumbling action. Changeup sits from 54-56mph with cutting action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Loosening his arm action can help Caiden improve his pitch command and velocity. Overall, Caiden is a developing prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
