06/02/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West This athletic OF shows a tremendous future on the diamond. A RHH, hands are quick as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. He has strength (93 mph exit velocity) in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. Defensively, he takes a quick first step (6.41 60 time) and has plus lateral range. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. Hands/feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with zip on his throws (93 mph velocity). Defensive abilities are near a pro level as he shows big play potential. Caiden has a ton of upside and possesses the skill-set that will play at a very high level.

10/28/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures West Caiden is a strong, quick-twitch athlete with an impressive array of tools. He ran the 60-yard dash in a blazing 6.56 seconds while posting an exit velocity of 91 mph and arm strength of 87 mph. His explosive actions led to an outstanding all-around workout. The ball came off his bat hard from a quick. level bat path that accelerated well through the zone. He generated very good bat speed with good coordination of his upper and lower body. Defensively, Caiden used the quick feet you would expect him to have to get to balls to either side. His hands work well and there is carry to his throws across the diamond. Overall, it is easy to envision Caiden hitting at, or near, the top of the order while playing in the middle of the field at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
