01/11/2008 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2008 Cal brought lots of energy and running ability with him to the field. In the OF, showed an idea of the position. Has a high approach cause upper half is too stiff. Long toss will help with his arm strength. At the plate, has decent hands with a direct path to the hitting zone. Good bat speed helps produce some pop. Would like to see him keep his head and feet still so he can track better and gain better consistency.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
