06/18/2016 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 Cale is a 2017 dual position player as he plays SS and a RHP; he is strong with broad frame and strong lower half (5'11"/170). This athletic SS is very light on his feet with quick twitch actions as he ran a 6.78 60 yard dash. The speed also translates to SS but profiles to fit in the OF where he will cover a ton of ground. In the INF, Cale has early hand presentation with good body control and soft hands as he tracks the ball into his fielding position. At the dish; Cale has smooth hand separation with rhythm while and works to sit on his backside for leverage and power. On the rubber; he pitches to contact as he doesn't try and overpower the hitter but better yet, locate his pitches on both sides of the plate. He gathers over the rubber, releases from an overtop delivery with loose and free arm action. His FB sat at 75MPH with good control and arm side run in which he can throw to both sides of the plate. His CB sat 66MPH with a slight arm angle change having 10-4 shape. Cale also features a knuckleball that sat at 64MPH with some late life and movements. Overall Cale, is a raw athletic 2017 SS/RHP with good speed that translates into game speed and will help a college roster
