05/27/2012 - College PREP - Tampa, FL Caleb is a young, thick, 2-way player who pitches and plays OF. On the mound, Caleb has a low 3/4 arm slot, good direction toward home, and he mixes his pitches well. His FB touches 75 MPH, and his CH shows to be his best pitch. A looser arm action, better separation, and more lower body can help mound effectiveness improve. In the OF, Caleb has playable hands and feet, and he makes the routine plays. He gathers himself well and throws with accuracy and some carry to his target. OF skills can improve if Caleb can avoid drifting, quicken his feet, and add arm strength. Offensively, Caleb has a square / crouched set-up, a short / square stride, and a level swing. He has okay barrel accuracy and he uses his lower 1/2 well. If Caleb can loosen his grip, not dive to the ball, and spray to all fields, offensive numbers can rise.
