01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Caleb continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At the plate, hitting / power potential are excellent through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap power. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth actions. He utilizes his quick/aggressive feet as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. He displays smooth / clean actions with hands / feet working well together through the fielding process. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Caleb will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

09/12/2021 - All-In Membership - Pearland, TX Caleb is a 2B/OF prospect who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame athletic build with present strength and room to add more strength. Ran a 6.81 60-yard dash. In the infield, he starts with a quick first step and ability to pick out hops. Shows good body control and fields from an athletic fielding position with hands out front. Long arm action in back into an over-the-top arm slot coming forward and throws were accurate/on-line with an arm velocity up to 81mph. In the OF, quick feet enable him to take good routes to balls. Showed ability to work behind the ball with clean transfers. Accurate/on-line throws into infield with good momentum to target. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Showed quick hands and natural juice in swing. Direct barrel path as hit hard line drives to all fields during his BP round with a bat exit velocity up to 84mph. Has a bright future on the baseball field with continued development and growth.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
