04/10/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sanford (Orlando), FL Caleb is a C/3B prospect who will graduate in 2024. Behind the dish, Caleb tracks the ball into his glove and sticks it well. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate/on-line throws to the 2B bag. Sitting in a more athletic stance can help Caleb improve his overall catching ability. At 3B, Caleb moves well to his glove side and fields in a low position. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to his target. Caleb can field ground balls more efficiently by presenting his glove to the ball sooner. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He gets back into his load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a direct swing with good extension, driving the ball to his pull side. Maintaining center balance throughout his swing can help Caleb barrel up more baseballs. Overall, Caleb is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
