01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Caleb is a 5ft 10/185 OF in the 2024 class out of Houston, TX. He recently competed at the BF Preseason All American Tournament at IMG Academy. In the field, he creates agile movements and takes solid routes to the baseball. Catches the ball at the highest point and redirects with clean actions. Arm is loose from a high 3 qtr slot and generates accurate feeds back to the dirt. At the plate, he sees the baseball well. He begins in a crouched stance and stays inside his feet for solid balance. Gains great extension through the zone and demonstrates a high finish. Collected 2 hits in game action and produced several qualities on the weekend. Overall, Caleb is a fine player and can help the right college program next fall.

09/27/2023 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic (2024) Caleb is an athletic 5ft 10/185 OF in the 2024 class. He impressed scouts with his toughness and never taking a play off. In the field, he has an athletic base and will position his body to get behind the baseball. He is on-time to field and his hands are relaxed with pocket feel. He can redirect the baseball back to the dirt with accuracy. At the plate, shows great set-up and balance in his base. His hands are high and he gets into his load well. He is on-time with the pitch and gets his barrel on-plane and through the zone. Bat speed plays at 93 and registered 5 hits on the weekend. Overall, Scouts loved his make-up and feel he can help the right college program next fall.

06/09/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory All-State Tournament Caleb continues to shine in his baseball abilities and did so at the All-State event. Caleb was a great teammate, hustled, and worked hard throughout his time in Cocoa as well. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he utilizes his aggressive feet as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate with carry (83 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, fastball was in the mid-70s. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with short break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Caleb as he enters his senior year.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Caleb is a 2024 OF out of Houston, TX who got a chance to show off his skill-set at the Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the OF, he displays smooth/fluid actions. He displays smooth/clean actions with hands/feet working well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry on his throws. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Caleb as he starts up his junior baseball season.

09/02/2022 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) with Video Showcase Caleb is a 2024 OF/RHP prospect who showcased his skills at the All-Region Tournament. In the OF, starts in a relaxed position and showed ability to cover ground in all directions. Good 1st step reads enable him to work through the ball. Has a clean exchange with a quick arm stroke in back working into a high 3/4 arm slot coming forward. Made accurate throws, with backspin, and an arm velocity of 83mph into infield. A right-handed pitcher, works with good tempo and has a good demeanor on the mound. He separates his hands on-time and has a controlled landing. Throws a FB that sat 70-72mph with good command. Mixed in a CB with 11/5 shape that flashed tight spin and a changeup he throws for strikes. Induced soft contact in live game action and does a good job of controlling the run game. A right-handed hitter begins with an upright and open stance with comfortable hand set. Hits into a firm front side and showed a quick barrel through the hitting zone. Rotates his lower half well as he hit balls into both gaps. In live game action, he reached base 5 times with 2 doubles and 3 base on balls. With continued growth and development, we foresee Caleb having a bright future on the baseball field.

06/20/2022 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (HS) Caleb is a 2024 OF/RHP prospect out of Houston, TX who we got a chance to see at the Omaha National World Series. He ran his best 60 to date at 7.25 seconds and showed well offensively and defensively during his time in Omaha. He is a solid, 2-way player with room to improve. In the OF, Caleb works hard, footwork is smooth, and he tracks the ball well. He works behind fly balls quickly, makes plays consistently, and throws with accuracy from a loose arm action to his target. On the mound, Caleb showed good confidence, eyes on target, and a FB touching 72 MPH. He has a simple starter step, and a clean arm circle, toward the plate. Offensively, Caleb has an athletic stance, an activated load, and he uses his lower body well. He swings in good rhythm, hits line drives, and works the ball gap to gap well. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Caleb as he enters his junior year.

11/11/2021 - Baseball Factory Fall Select Tournament at Pirate City Caleb continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. In the OF, he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind but needs to play through, creating momentum to his target. Range will improve as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (80 mph velocity) but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

08/08/2021 - All-In Membership - Tomball (Houston), TX Caleb is an OF/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame athletic build, with strong lower half, and plenty of room to add throughout. In the OF, showed active feet and ability to cover ground in all directions. Aggressive routes enable him to create good fielding angles as he works through the ball. Showed ability to flip his hips and go get balls. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with accurate/on-line throws into infield at 80mph. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher has a simple delivery and a quick arm. He gathers over rubber and gets good extension out front. Attacks hitters with his FB that sits 74-78mph. Mixed in an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with tight spin and good depth. Throws a changeup with FB arm speed that has good depth and arm side sink. CH was best pitch during his bullpen. A right-handed hitter, starts with a tall and square stance. Square glide step, with a small hand load, and a fast bat through the zone. Direct barrel path enables him to make consistent contact to the pull side with a bat exit velocity of 80mph during BP. As he continues to develop and mature, we see him having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
