06/09/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Texas Caleb continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. Pop times showed in the 2.00 range with on line carry (90 mph velocity) and accuracy to his throws. Receiving / blocking skills are tremendous as he shows off his athletic abilities. At the plate, he continues to shine. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Barrel is whipped through the zone (92 mph exit velocity) as he connects through a line drive path. A talented prospect, he will make things happen both behind the dish as well as with the bat.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Caleb continues to show improvements in his baseball, abilities and is a prospect on the diamond. This powerful RHH backstop continues to shine. With flexion and good sway he pockets pitches with a soft/sure mitt. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 1.94 range. He will control the running game with his quick feet and arm. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Barrel is whipped through the zone as he connects with strength. The ball jumps off of his barrel as he crushes it to the gaps. A talented prospect - he will make things happen both be-hind the dish as well as with the bat.

04/09/2017 - College PREP - Plano (DFW), TX Caleb continues to show the makings of a special type player as he continues to improve his baseball tools. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.08. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter and has really improved his hitting / power potential from both sides. He has strength (95 mph exit velocity) in his swing with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he stays inside the baseball, utilizing all fields, displaying gap to gap pop. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.04 as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Hands are soft / sure and he sticks balls in the zone. He shows off his athletic abilities through the blocking process as he is a wall behind the plate.

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Caleb continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are active as he gains ground and works through a clean / transfer exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times showed in the 2.12 range. Throws display accuracy and on line carry through his target. Hands are soft as he lets the ball travel and tracks well, sticking in the zone. He shows off his athletic abilities through the blocking process and is a wall behind the dish. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter but projects best from the left side where he has outstanding hitting / power potential. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows great barrel accuracy with gap to gap pop. With 2 years to further develop, Caleb has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

06/29/2016 - Under Armour Firecracker Classic 18U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Caleb continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, he threw his lowest pop time to date at 2.08. Throws display accuracy and on line carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with outstanding arm strength. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides but projects slightly best from the left side. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) creating bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He has strength in his swing and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a very hard worker and plays with high energy. With 3 years to continue to develop, Caleb has the makings of a special type player at the next level.

02/28/2016 - College PREP - Waco, TX Caleb is a switch hitting athletic catcher who continues to develop. Offensively, he gets good hand separation getting loaded and waiting for his pitch. He delivers the barrel with speed to and through the zone, connecting with pop. Behind the dish, Caleb sits in with athletic actions tracking the ball into a mitt. He is quick laterally and centers the ball off of his chest softy. Pop times are now at 2.1 as he puts throws on the 2B bag. Munton has skills and will make an impact on the diamond.

12/20/2015 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 Caleb is a hard worker who is very coachable player. He displays good leadership qualities taking charge on the diamond. Feet are active as he works in-line through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. He moves well laterally around pitches in the dirt and bodies up pitches in the dirt. Exchange is clean as he puts the ball accurately on 2B. At the plate, he continues to shine as a switch hitter with solid abilities from both sides. He has strength in his swing with the baseball coming off his bat with some pop. Hands are quick and work inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Caleb has the makings of a special type player and will be a fun player to follow over the next few years.

10/11/2015 - College PREP - Abilene, TX Caleb is a talented, switch hitting catcher who has a ton of upside. Behind the dish, he sits in well with flexion & athletic/quiet actions. He is quick laterally and centers up pitches in the dirt off of his chest, keeping it in front. Throws down to 2B are on the bag coming from a quick release (pop times of 2.15). With the bat, Caleb shows well from both sides. He maintains centered balance with a solid base and fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/direct to and through the zone as he connects with pop, driving the ball to all parts of the field. Caleb (a 2019 grad) is a very skilled backstop who has a very bright future in the game. He is one to keep an eye on over the next couple of years.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
