06/10/2018 - Interactive Video Program - New Orleans, LA Caleb is a young, 2-way player who can switch hit. At SS, Caleb has fluid/active feet, soft hands, and he fields in a low/athletic position. He has good pre-pitch actions, a quick/clean exchange, and he throws with accuracy and carry to his target. On the mound, Caleb has a loose arm circle, he works on a downhill plane, and gets good lower leg drive toward the plate. Offensively, Caleb is currently a better hitter from the left side. He has an athletic set-up, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has a direct barrel to the ball and makes consistent contact. From the right side, Caleb tracks the ball well, he has a line drive stroke, and makes consistent contact. Caleb can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
