12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Caleb is a 2024 OF/RHP who showcased his talents in front of scouts at the BF Recruiting Classic. In the outfield, he has an athletic setup and good pre-pitch step. He works behind the ball and attacks it well. He has a clean exchange and good momentum with his throws. At the plate, the right-handed hitter has an athletic stance and loose hands. He has an activated load with good intent. He also showcased some speed with a 7.19 60-yard dash. We foresee that Caleb will continue to impress coaches going into his senior season.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Caleb continues to shine with his baseball abilities at the Preseason All American event. In the OF, he utilizes his aggressive feet as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Caleb is a solid OF/RHP in the 2024 class. He impressed scouts with his work ethic and energy at the BF Recruiting Classic. In the field, he has an athletic set-up and his feet work very well. He positions himself behind the baseball and creates forward momentum through the baseball. 1st step is quick (7.21 60 yd dash) and he beats the ball to the spot. His exchanges are quick and he is accurate to his targets. Ball has life and the arm fits the position. On the mound, he pounds the zone and trusts his defense. His FB touched 73 and he believes in the pitch. His CB sat 61 with 11/5 shape and medium break. His CH sat 68 and will use when ahead in the count. Showed well in his 3 inn stint with only 1 BB and 2 hits. At the plate, he begins in an open stance and gets into his load well. Is a line drive hitter and can use the field. Is a scrappy and heads up baserunner and brings energy on the paths. Overall, if Aaron commits to the weight room, he can become a sought-after next level player.

09/21/2022 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2024) Caleb continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Arizona Jr Fall Classic. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate he continues shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half work well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 71-72 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is well above average as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

07/20/2022 - Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Caleb is an OF/RHP who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame lean build with strength present and plenty of room to develop. In the OF, good reads off bat and efficient footwork enables him to take good routes to balls. Square fielding position as he fields ball out front with ability to make routine plays. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity of 75 mph into infield. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher works smart and with good tempo. Good direction towards plate and ability to throw strikes. Attacks hitters with a FB that was up to 71 mph and a breaking ball 11/5 shape. A right-handed hitter, starts with an athletic and open stance. Quiet head/eyes enable him to track pitches well. Showed good awareness of the strike zone. Hit 4 singles and a 2B along with drawing a walk in live game action. Simple and balanced swing with ability to hit balls to all fields with a recorded bat exit velocity of 78 mph. As he continues to develop and mature, we see him having a bright future on the baseball field.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Caleb is an athletic OF/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Recruiting Classic. In the field, Caleb shows smooth footwork with a quick first step. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is quick and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate to his target. Long tossing can help Caleb build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with loose hands. He rotates his core through well and produces solid line drives. Caleb can barrel up more baseballs by working a smoother load into his swing. On the mound, Caleb separates his hands on time and works with a loose arm. He keeps his eyes level throughout his delivery and finishes with his chest over his front knee. Caleb operates with a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 72mph. Breaking ball sits at 59mph with 11-5 break. Extending through his release can help Caleb improve his pitch command. Overall, Caleb is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

10/06/2021 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Ramirez ran his fastest 60 to date coming in at a blistering 6.76 seconds. As he continues to progress through high school, his speed is making him look more and more of a solid outfield prospect. His wheels and fearlessness give him a distinct advantage in chasing down balls in the gaps and down the line. He continues to show hustle while on the field and barreled up a couple of balls against solid pitching during his time with us in Arizona.

09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Caleb is a 2024 OF/RHP. Defensively, Caleb continues to show the ability to take good routes in the outfield. He has improved working behind the baseball on throws to bases. He shows quickness and covers ground in the OF. Offensively, he has a strong set up and gets the knob to the catcher for a good launch position. He had competitive at bats in game play and showed speed on the bases. On the hill, Caleb displayed command of his FB working both sides of the plate and the bottom of the zone. He showed a 10/4 breaking ball with early break. To improve velocity, Caleb could benefit from a structured strength and long toss program. Overall, Caleb continues to develop and is making strides in his play as a young prospect.

07/21/2021 - Baseball Factory Southwest Championships 16U Caleb continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through an open setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact and stays inside the ball through a line drive approach, flashing gap to gap pop. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He needs to work to get behind balls more and play through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and utilizes his quick feet in covering a lot of ground. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 64-66 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Control is well above average as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Caleb is an OF/RHP prospect in the class of 2024. He shows good athleticism and continues to improve all aspects of his game. In the field, he shows good range and the ability to get good reads off the bat. He does a good job fielding ground balls out front and with soft hands. He does a good job creating momentum to throw. He could benefit greatly from a structured throwing program to improve arm strength. At the plate, he hits from an athletic stance and has a square stride. He does a good job getting his hands and hips loaded. Uses his lower ½ well and that helps keep him balanced throughout the swing. He showed competitive at bats and got on base multiple times. On the mound, he did a good job repeating his mechanics. Worked out of the stretch only and competed with his fastball down in the zone. Showed competitiveness and got ahead of hitters often. Also showed feel for a secondary breaking ball. Caleb is a good young prospect who continues to show great development. We are excited to see him again in the future.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) Caleb is a 2024 C/OF. Medium frame and athletic build who continues to develop. Primary OF who moves well and rounds the ball nicely. Clean footwork with simple actions and accurate throws. Secondary C with a balanced, flexible stance and gets out of it very quickly. Very quick exchange and gains ground properly with the lower half. Good arm strength recorded up to 75 mph with a best pop time of 2.1 seconds. Righthanded hitter with a comfortable hand set and open stance. Creates some torque on the lower half and flashes strength through the point of impact. Creates leverage and has some power to the pull side. High energy guy who plays the game fast. Four years of continued growth and development will bode well for his career at the next level.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Caleb is an athletic OF/C prospect who continues to progress. Defensively, he has active prep with a quick first step getting good reads off of the barrel. He works behind the GB and through it, gaining ground toward his target. With the bat, this righty shows an open stance with centered balance and smooth rhythm to load. He fires the barrel quickly and engages his lower 1/2 well, creating consistent/hard contact. This 2024 grad has a ton of upside and will only continue to improve.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Caleb is a coachable OF/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Recruiting Classic. In the field, Caleb shows quick footwork and fields in a low position. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws to his target. Long tossing can help Caleb build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He works to barrel up the baseball and produces solid contact Caleb can create more consistent contact by working through a more level swing path. On the mound, Caleb shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at at 67mph. Breaking ball sits at 54mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits at 60mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Lengthening his arm action can help Caleb improve his pitch command. Overall, Caleb is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

11/06/2020 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona Caleb is a coachable OF/C prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Select Training & Competition in Arizona. In the OF, Caleb shows active footwork with a quick first step. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws through his target. Behind the plate, Caleb sits in an athletic stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws through the 2B bag. He is quick to block and keeps the ball in front of him. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He gets his hands activated and shows plus barrel control, producing solid line drives. Overall, Caleb is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

10/14/2020 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Caleb continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.16 runner. In the OF, he takes good first steps in reading balls off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry to his target. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through an athletic, open setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Once on base, he utilizes his quick feet well through an aggressive approach and will steal bases. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

09/16/2020 - Pathway AZ Underclass - 16U Caleb continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking balls down. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 64-65 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. 07/18/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Caleb is an athletic OF/RHP who will graduate in 2024. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he tracks proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through well with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an aggressive approach. Hands are quick, and work through level swing path. He makes consistent contact, showing a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 63-65 mph with cutting action. Stock to the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength, works to throw more strikes, and develops better off speed stuff. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, plays hard, and is very coachable. With 4 years to further develop, Caleb has an upside on the diamond with time and room to continue to progress his game.

02/09/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Stockton (Sacramento), CA Caleb is a young, athletic, 2-way player who plays OF and SS. In the OF, Caleb has agile range, fluid footwork, and he tracks the ball well. He has a good 1st step, uses 2 hands to catch, and his exchange is quick with a loose/accurate arm to his cut off man. At SS Caleb has good range, firm hands, and quick feet. He fields aggressively, makes plays consistently, and throws with an accurate arm across the diamond. At the plate, Caleb has a crouched stance, he loads well, and swings in good rhythm. He keeps his hands inside the ball well, makes square contact, and hits line drives consistently. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
