10/09/2019 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Caleb is a coachable 2B/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Arizona Fall Classic. In the field, Caleb moves well and fields in an athletic position. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a controlled stride. He gets into his load on time and hits against a strong front side. He takes a compact swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid line drives. Overall, Caleb is a solid prospect who should find success going into his senior season.

04/14/2019 - College PREP - Costa Mesa (Los Angeles), CA Caleb is an athletic 2B/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At 2B, Caleb shows active footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He gets into a square position and fields the ball with a firm glove. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping his throws on-line to his target. In the OF, Caleb shows fluid footwork and uses his speed to cover ground. He makes the routine plays and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them consistently on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and produces fast bat speed through the zone, leading to solid pop to his pull side. Overall, Caleb is a talented prospect who should find success throughout his junior season.

USA Baseball 17U Championships This athletic MIF shows a tremendous future on the diamond with the makings of a special type player at the next level. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Once on bases he utilizes his quick feet well. He is aggressive and reads balls in the dirt well, taking the extra base. Defensively, he takes a quick first step and has plus lateral range. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions but does need to attack balls more and play through with his body. DP turns are quick with zip on his throws as he made several DP in the MIF. Defensive abilities are outstanding as he shows big play potential. Mental makeup is outstanding as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. Caleb has a ton of upside and possesses the skill-set that will play at a very high level.

03/17/2019 - Accelerated College PREP - Monterey Park (Los Angeles), CA Caleb is an athletic 2B/OF prospect with tremendous foot speed (6.58 60 time). At 2B, Caleb shows efficient footwork and fields in a square position. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them on-line to his target. In the OF, Caleb shows active footwork and uses his speed to gain ground on the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed leading to solid contact and line drives. Overall, Caleb is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
