09/16/2018 - College PREP - Boise, ID Caleb is an atheltic OF prospect who will graduate in 2019. In the field, Caleb shows efficient footwork and is aggressive attacking the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange to throw and keeps his throws on-line to his target. Caleb can improve defensively by playing through the ball more. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and hits from a strong front side. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed which leads to square contact to all fields. Caleb can improve as a hitter by getting more extension through the ball. Overall, Caleb is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

The Class Rating is designed to help players identify the level(s) of college baseball at which they have potential to be recruited, and to help schools and coaches identify players that have potential to be recruits for them.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
