03/13/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Camden is a SS in the class of 2023 out of Fort Worth, TX. At SS, he showed efficient footwork by being able to gain ground quickly to get in good position to field the ball. He gets in a low athletic fielding position and presents his glove early with soft hands. He works through the ball cleanly and while setting up his arm to make accurate throws with carry across the diamond. At the plate, he uses a tall stance with a quiet load to find balance. He has quick hands with a direct path which enables him to be short to the ball and make solid contact with gap to gap power. Camden is a strong prospect we believe will get college looks soon if he continues to progress his game.

07/14/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Frisco (DFW), TX Camben continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.35 runner. At SS, defensive abilities as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a lone toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

07/16/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Camden is an athletic and lanky 2023 2-way prospect. At SS, Camden is on time with his prep step, he has a good first step to the ball, and works from the ground up. He has good hands and flashes the leather to the glove side. He plays through his backhand and has a good arm. He need to continue to have better footwork when turning double plays, quicken his release, and know proper positioning on cut offs. At the plate, Camden has a pull side approach and looks to hunt the fastball early. He gets his lower half to balance before attacking the ball and keeps the barrel flat to the ball. He needs to continue to load his hands back, create backside drive with his lower half, and look to drive the ball gap to gap. On the bump, Camden threw 3 innings gave up 1 hit and had 1 strikeout. Camden gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and has good arm action. He works down hill and has good direction toward the plate. Camden is a great kid, he worked hard all week, and we hope to see his progress in the future.

07/17/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Highland Park (DFW), TX Camden is an athletic, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Camden moves well to the ball, feet are active, and he fields in a low/athletic position. He presents his glove well, funnels out in front of his body, and throws with momentum and consistency to his target. On the mound, Camden has a long frame, he gets some extension on his pitches, and finishes in a square position. Offensively, Camden has a closed stance, quick hands, and he swings with good strength. He tracks well, has a direct barrel to the ball, and hits hard to the pull side. Camden can improve skills with work on the following.

2. Double plays

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
