10/10/2018 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Camdon is an athletic and scrappy 2019 Catching prospect. Behind the dish, Camdon is in an athletic primary stance and works behind the ball when receiving. He leads with his glove to block and controls the ball with his chest. He has a clean exchange and creates momentum in his lower half when throwing to second. At the plate, Camdon starts in a crouched stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and stays on plan with the ball. He stays balanced through contact and drives the ball gap to gap. Camdon will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future. Continuing to learn breathing techniques will allow him to slow the game down.

07/25/2018 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Camdon continues to show improvements in his baseball tools and has a tremendous future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 1.90 as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Arm strength is outstanding with accuracy and zip (86 mph velocity) to his target. Receiving / blocking skills are out-standing as he shows off his athletic abilities. He communicates well behind the plate and shows good leadership traits. At the plate, he continues to shine. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Barrel is whipped (89 mph exit velocity) through the zone as he connects through a line drive path. At the plate, he was 7 for 14 with a 3B. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is a solid team player. A talented prospect, he will make things happen both behind the dish as well as with the bat.

05/13/2018 - College PREP - Spokane, WA Camdon is an athletic catcher who has the makings of a special type player at the next level. This powerful RHH backstop is a prospect on the diamond. With flexion and good sway he pockets pitches with a soft/sure mitt. Pop times showed in the low 2.00 range. He will control the running game with his quick feet and arm. At the plate, he has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Barrel is whipped through the zone (90 mph exit velocity) as he connects with strength. The ball jumps off of his barrel as he crushes it to the gaps. A talented prospect - he will make things happen both behind the dish as well as with the bat. He will get looks from the top collegiate coaches with baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
