Official Scouting Report

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Cameron is a 2027 SS/RHP who showcased his skills during the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. At SS, he starts in a good posture and plays with good energy. He worked to center the baseball and fields from an on-time fielding position with a low funnel. He showed ability to get synched up, with accurate throws, and an arm velocity up to 78mph. At the plate, he hits from a crouched and even stance with low hands. He takes an aggressive swing. He hit balls hard to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 73mph during BP. During the games, he proved to be a tough out as he reached base 4 times with a triple, 2 singles, and reached on an error. A right-handed pitcher, he has a good mound presence and a good feel for pitching. He has his shoulders in-line to his target and has a controlled landing. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 72mph with plus command, and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball. Cameron is a solid 2-way player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

07/31/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Washington, DC Cameron showed well at SS and on the mound during his time in D.C. At SS, Cameron has active footwork to the ball, good range, and he fields athletically. He takes good angles to field, picks out the right hops, and throws with accuracy and momentum across the diamond. On the mound, Cameron has good balance, a clean arm circle, and he lands with good direction toward home plate. He has good glove side lead, a controlled landing, and he competes well in the zone. Offensively, Cameron has an athletic stance, a short/square stride, and good balance. He has a still head, a level swing path, and he can spray the ball to all fields; using his lower body. Cameron raised arm velocity to 78 MPH and exit velocity to 71 MPH during the workout.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Cameron is a coachable SS/3B out of Washington D.C. in the class of 2027. Defensively, he displayed active footwork to create momentum working through the baseball with his glove out in front of his eyes. He moves through the ball well to set up his arm to make consistent throws to his target. At the plate, he uses a tall and narrow stance with high hands to work on plane with the ball to make controlled contact to all fields. Cameron could benefit from programs/drills such as long toss, strength training and hands/feet (quick exchange) drills.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
