07/07/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory's National West Showcase Cameron is a quick-twitch athlete with plus speed (6.55 in the 60) who can impact the game in many ways. He has an aggressive approach at the plate that is geared toward pull-side line drives. He likes to ambush his pitch and looks to turn on it. The ball comes off his bat hard (98 mph exit velocity) and he singled in the live at bats. Defensively, Cameron is a versatile player who fits best in CF where he can run balls down, but his arm (93 mph raw velocity) allows him to play either corner spot and he has the hands and feet to play the infield as well. Overall, this is a top-of-the-order type of bat who is fun to watch.

02/11/2018 - College PREP - Stockton (Sacramento), CA Cameron is a lean, athletic SS who can swing it. He shows advanced bat to ball skills with good hand eye coordination and the ability to deliver the barrel to the ball. He displays an aggressive swing, staying balanced throughout to stay on top and use all fields. His bat is quick through the zone on a level path and he shows gap pop. At short, his pre-pitch work is solid to get in position to make plays with quick feet. He gets around the ball to play through with quick hands and makes accurate throws and feeds. A long toss program will improve arm strength and allow him to stay on the left side. Cameron is an exciting, young prospect with lots of potential on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
