12/20/2018 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Cameron continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. He did show at 1B for the first time at the event. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work loose and quick to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date, topping out at 84 mph. Fastball showed a range of 82-84 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with downward action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound. At 1B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He works to square ball up and makes the routine plays. He displays proper footwork around the bag and he is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 3 for 6 with 2 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.
