07/07/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory's National West Showcase Cameron is a big, physical 1B/RHP prospect who, again, swung the bat well at the Baseball Factory West Showcase. He is an intimidating presence both in the batters box and on the mound. At the plate he has some rhythm and a clean, simple stroke with quiet hands. He uses his lower half well giving him leverage power and the ability to drive balls with authority - especially to the pull side. On the mound Cameron has a 3-pitch mix and can throw from different arm slots. Overall, this has the look of a middle-of-the-order bat at the next level.

On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 81 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late / sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight arm side run. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
