12/17/2017 - College PREP - Thousand Oaks, CA Cameron continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.15. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 2.30 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Receiving / blocking tools have improved as well. Hands are soft / sure and he sticks balls in the zone. He shows off his athletic abilities through the blocking process but will benefit by working to get his body down sooner. At the plate, he shows a squared setup with balance. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently.

12/11/2016 - College PREP - Thousand Oaks, CA Cameron is a hardworking C/RHP prospect who continues to show progress in his game on the field. Offensively, Cameron has a crouched stance with a centered balanced. He has good rhythm and takes a square stride with a good load. His swing path is on-plane with a good bat angle at contact producing consistent results. Cameron is a contact hitter and sprays the ball to all fields. Behind the plate, Cameron has a wide base and stays low and square with his target. He tracks the ball well and is aggressive in his approach blocking the baseball. Cameron has quick exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a high 3/4 slot with a quick release. On the mound, Cameron has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from an over the top arm slot. He stays square with a controlled landing as he keeps his head on his target throughout his delivery. Cameron features a fastball, curveball, and change-up with good movement. Overall, Cameron has potential as he continues to fine tune his skills on the field.

07/24/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Cameron, a C/2B showed improvements to his game during his time at Pirate City. As a catcher, Cameron sets a low target with some body control as he works to block. Loosening up his hands and staying low through the throw to 2B will improve his pop times and overall abilities. At the plate, he showed patience as he tracks pitches in to the zone. He has a rhythmic swing with hard pop to his pull side. Working to loosen up his hands and leveling out his swing will allow for a more consistent swing path. Cameron (2019 grad) will continue to mature and will see his abilities improve as he works on all aspects of his game.

12/13/2014 - Interactive Video Program - Westlake Village, CA Cameron is a young 2-way player as a C/2B. Behind the dish, he sits in well with a solid base. He presents a low target and tracks the ball into his mitt. He moves well laterally and works to center pitches in the dirt. Exchange is clean as he fires accurate throws to 2B in as low as 2.64. At 2B, he shows active footwork and hustles into a square fielding position. He gathers well and works in-line toward his target at 1B. With the bat, this RHH shows a balanced approach with rhythm in his hands. He lets the ball travel and waits for his pitch. Swing path is level as he connects and drives the ball. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

1. Exchange/transfer
2. Gain ground toward target
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Infield
1. Lower fielding position
2. Play through ball
Offense

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
