10/23/2019 - Under Armour SoCal Classic, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Cameron continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities and is a leader behind the plate. At the plate, is where he continues to show best through a squared setup. He is aggressive as he attacks balls through a level swing path. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off of a soft chest. Receiving/blocking skills show as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level. Pop times showed in 2.01 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Cameron is very coachable, works hard, and has upside with his offensive/defensive abilities.

10/24/2018 - Under Armour SoCal Classic, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Cameron is a coachable C/3B prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the SoCal Classic. Behind the plate, Cameron shows active footwork and is agile moving to block. He presents a good target to the pitcher and receives well. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws to 2B, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half, leading to solid contact. Overall, Cameron is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

09/16/2018 - College PREP - Indianapolis, IN Cameron is an athletic and talented 2020 C/3B. At the hot corner, Cameron is on time with his prep step, he anticipates the ball off the bat, and presents a low/ early glove. He funnels the ball into his body and throws from multiple arm angles. Behind the dish, Cameron presents a low target and has an athletic secondary. He works behind the ball when receiving, and leads with his glove to block. He has a clean exchange and efficient footwork to second base. At the plate, Cameron starts in an athletic stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He has quick hands to the ball, uses his backside, and shows pull side gap power. Cameron will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
