12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Cameron is a 2029 SS who showcased his skills during the BF East Coast Winter Classic. At SS he fields from a square fielding position with his eyes behind his glove. Shows a clean exchange with a short arm stroke. At the plate he hits from a relaxed and even stance with high hands. Has an on-time load and gets his lower half through the ball. Shows a fast barrel with ability to control the bat. In live game action he reached base 4 times with a triple, 2 singles, and reached on an error. Cameron worked hard all week and shows he wants to get better. We look forward to seeing him at another event in the near future.

06/09/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (MS) Cameron is a 2029 SS/RHP prospect that recently showed his skills at the All-State Tournament in Mississippi. At short, he showed off some really impressive footwork, both pre-pitch and when fielding the baseball. He has good range to all angles, moving well laterally and gets in a squared, athletic fielding position with soft hands fielding out in front. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. He recorded a raw velo of 63 MPH. At the plate, he starts in an athletic, open stance with loose, comfortable hands. He gets a good activated load and does a great job of keeping his balance centered with his lower half. He gets good extension on his swing and uses all fields. He recorded a max exit velo of 70 MPH, greatly improving on his previous mark. His hips and hands show good coordination and he does a great job of rotating his core. He reached base in 5 of 6 plate appearances, with 2 singles and 2 walks and a reached base on error. He really tests fielders by running hard out of the box. Overall, Cameron is an exciting prospect that should continue to develop nicely as he grows bigger and stronger!

01/16/2023 - National Showcase - Omaha, NE Cameron is a solid, athletic SS/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 56-57 mph. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 6 years to further develop, Cameron has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
