01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Cameron is a coachable SS prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Spring Training at Pirate City. In the field, Cameron takes a good first step and shows quick footwork. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a quick exchange and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. Long tossing to continue building up his arm strength can help Cameron improve defensively. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in a tall stance and takes a controlled stride. He is fluid getting his hands activated in his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a level swing and produces loud contact and line drives. Cameron can improve as a hitter by continuing to add strength. Overall, Cameron is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

10/27/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Peachtree City (Atlanta), GA Cameron is a lean, 2-way player who can switch hit. At SS, Cameron has fluid/active feet, agile movements, and he fields in a low/square position. He has soft/presentable hands, a quick exchange, and he throws with accuracy and momentum across the diamond. On the mound, this RHP has good balance over the rubber, he separates his hands on time, and lands with good direction toward the plate. Offensively, Cameron is currently a better hitter from the right side. He has a square stance, good balance, and an aggressive swing. He hits line drives to all fields and rotates his lower body. From the left side, Cameron has good balance, a level swing path, and he can drive the ball the opposite way. Overall skills can get better with work on the following.

1. Arm strength
2. Play more through
Pitching
1. Windup

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
