12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Cameron is a coachable OF/LHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Winter Classic. In the field, Cameron attacks the ball aggressively and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields with a relaxed glove. Increasing his foot speed can help Cameron improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and takes a soft stride. He is controlled getting his hands activated in his load and takes a level swing, leading to solid contact to all fields. Cameron can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. On the mound, Cameron gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and accelerates through his release, staying inline towards the plate. Cameron shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 67mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 56-59mph. Changeup sits at 58mph. Finishing with his chest over his front knee can help Cameron improve as a pitcher. With four more years to develop, Cameron has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.
