11/03/2019 - College PREP - Potomac, MD Cameron continues to shine on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / clean actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls but needs to take better routes / angles. He makes the routine play but will benefit by working to get behind balls more to play through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive approach. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently.

07/28/2019 - College PREP - Washington, DC Cameron is a solid L/L OF who can make things happen on the diamond thanks to his overall athleticism. He is also a talented running back when football season rolls around. His athletic testing measurables are impressive which help this OF trend upward. Defensively in the OF, Cameron displays active footwork as he moves well on the balls of his feet and can track down fly-balls hit to his right and left effortlessly with speed. He has athletic actions with a clean exchange to throw, firing the ball accurately toward his target. Continuing to gain momentum through the ball and utilizing his lower 1/2 will aid in increasing his velocity. Speed and quick twitch actions also set this LHH apart. He starts square and athletic with some rhythm to load. Quick hands fire the barrel to the contact point as he works to spray the ball to all parts of the field. An athletic OF with upside, Cameron is just a couple slight adjustments away from unlocking his potential on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
