Cameron is a C prospect who showcased his skills at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. Behind the plate, Cameron sits in a relaxed stance and receives with a quiet glove. He makes a quick exchange and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with life through the 2B bag. He is smooth moving to block and keeps the ball in front of him. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is controlled getting his hands activated in his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a short swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap pop. Overall, Cameron is a talented prospect who should find success going into his freshman season.

Cameron is an athletic and strong C that will graduate in 2023. Behind the plate, Cameron shows effective footwork blocking creating great angles and does a plus job keeping the ball in front. He sets up in a square stance presenting a solid target and makes clean exchanges to throw. He gets rid of the ball with a short and quick arm action and make consistent throws to 2B. At the plate, Cameron sets up in an athletic and square stance keeping his balanced centered. He rotates against a firm front side creating fast bat speed and works hard to get on plane with the ability to hit to all fields. Overall, Cameron shows advanced abilities behind the plate and a solid base hitting. With several years to develop we are excited to see his continued progress.
01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament
Cameron is a lean, athletic catcher who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are aggressive and active as he works in line to his target, through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times showed in the 2.12 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Glove action is soft and he sticks in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing, flashing gap-to-gap pop. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 2 for 6. With 4 years to further develop, Cameron has the makings of a special type player that will get looks from the college coaches as he continues to progress his game.
