09/04/2017 - College PREP - Troy (Albany), NY Cam showed nice improvements on the mound, in the INF, and at the plate during his last event. Velocity increased to 83MPH, his FB showed good life, and his arm is quick and clean. Cam shows solid off-speed pitches, he gets good extension out in front, and finishes with his chest over his front knee. Working to get on a downhill plane, more eyes on target, and added command can help pitching continue to get better. At SS, Cam has quick feet, good range, and he fields the ball smoothly. He has soft hands, a clean exchange, and a quick release with accuracy to his target. Offensively, Cam has a rhythmic swing, good balance, and fast bat speed. He finds the barrel, can hit to all fields, and makes hard consistent contact with some pop into the gaps. More weight transfer and lower 1/2 can help solid hitting get even better. Cam has a bright future ahead of himself and will get looks from collegiate coaches.

12/11/2016 - College PREP - Nyack (NYC), NY Cameron continues to show a promising future on the diamond. At the plate he showed a square/athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He shows an aggressive approach and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. At SS, feet are active as he works to square balls up. Feet are aggressive but needs to attack balls more and play through with his body. Glove action is clean/soft and presents well out front. He moves well laterally and shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds/turns of the double play. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 78-81 mph with life. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

06/25/2016 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Cameron continues to show a promising future on the diamond and continues to show improvements in his baseball tools. At the plate, he improved his hitting abilities through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 6 for 10 with a 2B. In the MIF, he displays smooth, fluid actions. Feet are quick as he moves well laterally, displaying plus range in the MIF. He plays through balls and presents glove well out front. Hands/feet work well together and he shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds/turn of the double play. On the mound, fastball shows in the low 80 range with good arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

12/06/2015 - College PREP - Nyack (NYC), NY Cameron is a R/R (5'10"/150) 2-way player as a RHP/SS. On the mound, this righty has a 3-pitch mix coming from a high 3/4 arm slot. He works to a controlled balance point and drives off the rubber downhill, in-line toward the dish. FB jumps out of his hand and cracks the mitt at 82 mph. Curveball shows 10/4 shape with good tilt. Changeup has slight tail and will run in on the RHH's. At SS, Myers is aggressive and attacks the GB working into a square fielding position. He has a clean exchange and loose arm, firing accurate throws across the diamond. With the bat, Cameron shows an athletic/balanced setup with a solid base. Quick hands whip the barrel through a level path as he connects and drives the ball on a line. Myers is a versatile athlete who will make things happen in a variety of ways on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
