12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Cameron is a 2027 C/ 3B who showcased his talents in front of scouts at the BF Recruiting Classic. Behind the plate, he has a low-athletic setup and presents a good target to the pitcher. He has a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly to second base. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot and had accurate throws to the 1B side of the bag. He gets a good chin tuck blocking and centers his body over the plate. At the plate, he has a relaxed stance, a comfortable hand slot, and a small load. He has controlled rhythm and a smooth swing path. In the game, he reached base several times with a pair of doubles and a single. He also showed good basepath awareness picking up a stolen base. With several years to grow and mature we expect to see Cameron develop on the baseball field.

06/18/2023 - National Showcase - Fresno, CA Cameron continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show at 3B for the first time at the event. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.15 with accuracy / carry (81 mph velocity) on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - (MS) Cameron is a 2027 C/RHP prospect who worked hard to improve his skillsets at the National World Series. Behind the plate, he has an easy sit, with an easy sway, and tracks pitches well. He works to center the baseball and presents a low target as he works his thumb under the ball. He replaces his feet as he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 77mph and a best pop time of 2.38 seconds. Has a good spine angle on his blocks and tucks his chin. On the mound, he showed a good mound presence and showed ability to pitch ahead in counts. He attacks hitters with a FB that sits 65-70mph with some cutting action, and a 10/4 shaped breaking ball with good depth. At the plate, he gets his hands separated and has a small glide step. Hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 72mph during his round of BP. During the event, he reached base 4 times with a single, 2 walks, and reached on an error. With 5 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
