01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Cameron is a big/strong (6'3"/235) RHH 1B who can send the ball for a ride. He steps into the box showing a slightly open setup with loose/active hands. He whips the barrel through the zone taking an aggressive hack with authority. When centered, the ball jumps off of his barrel as he posted an impressive exit velocity of 104 mph which is one of the highest we've seen across the country. At 1B, he remains active and hustles right and left to GB's hit his way. He tracks the ball into a soft mitt and gathers well. He can move around the bag well and get to throws up and down the line with ease, making him a great target for INF's to throw to. He ran a 7.22 60 yard dash proving his athleticism which is another impressive feat, given his frame. Cameron has the tools that will make an impact at a very high level.

04/29/2018 - College PREP - Charlottesville, VA Cameron is a solid, strong 1B who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 60 time of 7.36. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying outstanding hitting / power potential through a squared / athletic setup. Hands are quick (94 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. At 1B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Hands are soft / sure and he presents well out front. He displays proper footwork around the bag and he is a quality receiver. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally, covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (81 mph velocity) across the diamond as he displays well above average arm strength. Cameron has a lot of potential and is a sure player to follow.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
