12/27/2013 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Cameron continues to develop in his game. During his time at the Recruiting Classic, he worked hard and means business on the diamond. Offensively, he is aggressive and is looking to swing the stick. He hustles out of the box and puts pressure on the defense. In the OF, Cameron comes to get the ground ball and works well from the ground up. He has a quick exchange and works in-line toward his target. Overall - Skroch is a hard worker who (with a few adjustments) will make an impact on the diamond.

09/08/2013 - National Tryout - Oak Creek (Milwaukee), WI Cameron continues to show as a 2B/OF but currently projects best in the OF for the next level and continues to show improvements in his baseball tools. At the plate is where he has improved the most through an athletic setup. Hands are looks and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. For hitting grades to continue to improve, he needs to work to stay inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. In the OF, he utilizes his quick feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls as he squares up. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he learns to get behind balls more and play through with momentum to target. At 2B, he works to square balls up and gets rid of the baseball quickly. He needs to attack balls more, play through while presenting hands more out front to improve grade. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/31/2013 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Vero Beach (Ages 14-18) Cameron showed at 2B and in the OF for the first time. At 2B, Feet are active as he works to square ball balls up, displaying clean hands. He needs to play through balls more while presenting hands more out front, and increase foot quickness to continue to improve defensive grade. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. In the OF, he utilizes his quick feet well in tracking down balls, displaying range in the OF. Hands / feet work well through the fielding process but needs to work on getting behind balls more to improve defensive grade. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup with rhythm. Hands are loose to and through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side as he needs to work to stay inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to increase as he learns to use his lower half more. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and hard worker.

03/09/2013 - College PREP - Kenosha, WI Cameron is a 2-way player as a 2B/1B who will graduate in 2015. Defensively, Cameron has firm hands, playable footwork, and he keeps his eyes to the ball well. He keeps the ball in front of his body, his exchange is clean, and he throws with consistency to his target. Defense can improve if Cameron can soften his glove, field lower, and add arm strength. At the plate, Cameron has a square set-up, a short stride, and his swing is level. He stays on top of the ball and uses some lower 1/2. Hitting can improve if Cameron can looser his grip, transfer his weight, and use more lower 1/2.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
