05/20/2018 - College PREP - Gambrills, MD Cameron continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are now solid as he displays smooth/clean actions. Feet are active and he displays proper footwork as he plays through balls with his body. Glove action is soft/sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are strong and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Cameron has a bright future ahead of himself.

07/07/2014 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition Cameron is a coachable/young 2020 graduate who plays C/SS. Behind the plate he displayed good footwork on throws and receives well. He can improve by setting up in a more athletic stance, be more aggressive when blocking and work on flexibility. Offensively, Cameron is a switch hitter with an aggressive approach. He has a good load, and uses the lower half well (needs to drive it more than spin). Improvement can be made by increasing strength and getting more extension through the ball on finish.

03/16/2014 - Interactive Video Program - Bowie, MD Cameron is a young, 2-way player who catches and plays SS. Behind the plate, Cameron gets in a good ready position, he gains ground, and he blocks well. He has some body control, and some accuracy to 2nd base. At SS, Cameron makes the routine plays, he stays down on the ball, and he throws with accuracy across the diamond. Offensively, Cameron has good balance, an aggressive swing, and and he works the middle of the field. He swings a level stick and has good barrel accuracy. Abilities can improve with work on the following.

Catching
1. Lower target
2. Long toss
3. Quicken exchange
Defense

2. Follow throws

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
