04/30/2017 - National Tryout Plus - Fort Myers, FL Camerom is a young and athletic Right Hand Hitting SS. As a SS, Cameron has sure hands, left to right movement, a quick release after the exchange, and makes the routine play. If he continues to work on a clean exchange, presenting a low/early glove, and follows through on his throws, he will continue to grow as a SS. At the plate, Cameron loads his hands into a strong position, and tracks the ball well. If he continues to drive the lower half to the ball, attack the inner half of the ball, and keep his front hip closed longer till contact, he will stay through the ball and create backspin on the ball. Cameron will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his growth as a player over the summer.

05/08/2016 - College PREP - Tampa, FL Cameron continues to show as a SS who has a promising future on the diamond. He continues to show improvements in his baseball tools. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as well, displaying smooth / fluid actions. He works to get around balls and moves well laterally, flashing range. Hands are soft / clean as he presents on time. He shows off his athletic abilities on the slow roller play. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an athletic setup with rhythm. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

11/02/2014 - National Tryout - Tampa, FL Cameron continues to work hard on the diamond. At SS, he shows quick/active footwork and presents his glove, fielding the ball out in front. He has a quick/clean exchange and works in-line toward 1B. With the bat, this RHH shows a balanced approach with rhythm to load. Bat speed is quick as he squares the ball up consistently and drives the ball with pop. More lower 1/2 drive will result in increased power. On the mound, Cameron is a fundamentally sound RHP who will throw strikes. FB ranges from 74-76 mph while showing some run. He works quickly at his pace and keeps hitters off balance. Cameron is a versatile 2-way player that has a bright future ahead of him in the game.

10/27/2013 - National Tryout - Fort Myers, FL Cameron is a proven hard worker who has made grate strides in his game. On the mound, he works at a good tempo and keeps level shoulders. He keeps his eye on the target and throws from a deceptive arm slot. With the bat, Cameron shows a balanced setup with good balance. He hits the ball where it's pitched with the abilities to use the whole field. At SS, he shows an aggressive approach and comes to get the ground ball. He fields the ball cleanly and works in-line toward 1B. He has a good feel for turning the DP with a quick turn. A young athlete - Cameron (2020 grad) has skills with a bright future in the game.

07/31/2013 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Vero Beach (Ages 12-14) Cameron is a young, athletic ballplayer who plays OF and is a RHP. As an outfielder, he has very good feet, is very athletic and is smooth in his actions and had sure solid hands. He transitions and works behind and through the ball well. He is agile, has a short arm action with carry and good accuracy. On the mound, Cameron throws with a 3/4 arm angle with good timing and smooth pitching mechanics. His ability to develop other pitches and finish his delivery downhill will continue to improve. Offensively, he has a squared, athletic stance at the plate with good rhythm and a smooth swing. Makes contact consistently and flashes good pop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
