Official Scouting Report

USA Baseball 17U Championships Camrin continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. Mental makeup is tremendous as this young man has a great personality and does all the little details to make things better. He truly is a leader by example. On the field, he plays hard, always stays positive and has the tools to play at a high level. Defensively at 1B, he shows active prep with fluid actions. He works around the GB and through it as he gains ground toward his target. Footwork around the bag is solid and he is a quality receiver. Ex-change is clean with strong throws. He will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine as he has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Barrel is whipped through the zone (87 mph exit velocity) as he connects with strength. The ball jumps off of his barrel as he crush-es it showing gap-to-gap power. Camrin has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

03/24/2019 - College PREP - Greenville, SC Camrin is a tall CIF prospect with tremendous power potential (96mph exit velo). At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and is fluid getting into his load. He takes a level swing with plus bat speed, leading to loud contact and great pull side pop. In the field, Camrin is agile covering ground and makes the routine plays. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. Overall, Camrin is a talented prospect who will be one to follow throughout his junior season.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
