07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Canter is an athletic and talented 2020 2-way prospect that works hard and made several adjustments throughout the week at pirate city. In the OF, Canter is aggressive on ground balls and creates angles to the ball. He needs to be on time with his prep step, anticipate the ball off the bat, and increase in routes efficiency. At the plate, Canter starts in a squared stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and creates backside rotation. He needs to continue to attack the inside part of the ball and keep his head down at contact. Keeping a quiet head and hunting the fastball will allow him to have better approach. On the bump, Canter gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and has a clean arm stroke. He works down hill and has a balanced finish. He creates arm side run on his fastball and sits 74-79. Developing a secondary pitch like a change up will allow him to work off the fastball more efficiently. Canter will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
