09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Carson continues to shine with improvements in his baseball abilities. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 72 mph. Fastball shows a range of 68-72 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable, and works hard to be the best player he can be.

11/05/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Hillsboro, OR Carson is an athletic, SS/RHP who will graduate in 2022. On the mound, this RHP delivers a 3-pitch mix from a 3/4 arm slot. He comes right at hitters and fills up the zone with strikes. With the stick, Carson displays an athletic setup. He takes hard swings through the zone and looks to drive pitches back up through the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
