01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Carter continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and utilizes his quick feet (6.89 60 time), covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line zip to his target. At the plate he continues shine through athletic setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap to gap pop.

11/22/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bossier City (Shreveport), LA Carter is a RHH OF that shows as a prospect on the diamond. At the plate, hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. Defensively, he takes a quick first step and has plus lateral range as indicated by his outstanding foot speed of 6.69. He tracks balls well and covers a lot of ground in the OF. Carter has a ton of upside and possesses the skill set that will play at a very high level.

11/24/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Shreveport, LA Carter is an athletic OF/SS prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the OF, Carter shows fluid footwork and is agile covering ground. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He throws from a 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate with carry through his target. At SS, Carter shows active footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He fields the ball out in front of his body and makes a clean exchange. He gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them consistently on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is fluid getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap pop. Overall, Carter is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

07/26/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Carter continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He utilizes his feet in taking proper routes / angles in working to get behind balls. He shows good game awareness and does a nice job of backing up bases. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and reads balls well off the bat, covering a lot of ground. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic, open setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 3 for 5 with a 2B. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
