10/05/2022 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic (2025) Carter is an excellent and gifted SS in the 2025 class. Has the size (5ft eleven/ 145) and speed (7.10 runner) and plays explosive on the field. Scouts feel he has a great feel for the game and love his quickness on the basepaths. In the field, his arm strength (86 velo) stands out. He releases from a high ¾ slot and his feeds have above average accuracy and the arm plays from all defensive zones. His feet are active and he moves well laterally. Plays under the baseball with advanced pocket feel. His exchanges are quick and clean and his feet are in sync with his release. At the plate, he uses a short stride to get into his hitting position. Stays inside his feet well and allows his back side to get through the pitch. Hands are fast (85 exit velo) and displays line drive production. Showed well with in game at-bats 4 hits (2 2b’s) in 9 official at-bats. Carter also jumped on the mound and demonstrated solid mechanics. The FB was 80-1 and his CB showed solid bite. Overall, Carter is a true baseball player and a must follow in the 2025 class.

10/13/2021 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Carter is a SS who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame thin build with strength present room to add more strength. At SS, he shows good rhythm to his actions and active feet. Creates good fielding angles and ability to play through the ball. Fields from a low and athletic fielding position, with sure hands, and a good glove angle. Short arm action, with a quick release, and a 3/4 arm release point. Accurate/on-line throws across diamond and an arm velocity of 80mph. A right-handed hitter begins with a tall and open stance. Quiet actions allow him to track pitches well. Direct barrel path who hit line drives to all fields. Competitive at-bats as he drew a BB to go along with multiple hits in live game action. Had an recorded a bat exit velocity of 77mph. With continued growth and development, we see him having opportunities to play at the next level.

01/18/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Omaha, NE Carter is an athletic SS/C prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, Carter shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them on-line to the 2B bag. Behind the plate, Carter shows active footwork and gains ground when blocking. He sits in a square stance and receives with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate/on-line to the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is fluid to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid contact to all fields. Overall, Carter is a talented prospect who will be one to follow as he continues to progress.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Carter continues to shine on the diamond. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Behind the plate, Carter presents a good target to the pitcher and tracks the ball into his glove. He makes a clean exchange and throws from a 3/4 angle, working to keep his throws accurate to the 2B bag. He is efficient moving to block and covers up well. Carter can improve as a C by sitting in a more athletic stance. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

08/04/2019 - Accelerated Interactive Video Program - Council Bluffs (Omaha), IA Carter is a SS/C prospect who will graduate in 2025. In the field, Carter shows fluid footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. Behind the plate, Carter presents a god target and makes a clean exchange to throw, working to keep his throws accurate to the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He shows fluid rhythm and drives through well with his lower half, leading to solid line drives. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
