07/10/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National East Case had an outstanding showing at the event in the MIF with the makings of a special type player. At the plate is where he has improved the most through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating tremendous bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He has strength in his swing and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. The baseball explodes off the bat when centered, creating back spin. He will hit and hit with power at the next level. In the MIF, feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process as he shows big play potential. To stay in the MIF, he needs to continue to increase his foot quickness. Cash will get looks from the top collegiate coaches and pro scouts with the makings of a solid 2017 draft type guy.

11/01/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Showcase: Futures South Case has a mature, solid build at 6-foot-1 and 186 pounds. He is a capable switch hitter, his hands work from both sides and he has advanced feel for hitting. He has better bat speed and a fuller move from the left side of the plate, appears to have a higher ceiling this way - though his right handed stroke is simple and steady, seemingly built for consistent line drive contact. He isn't as far along defensively, though he is solid and dependable. He maintains good body control to play the ball, and release throws from a high slot allowing for carry across the infield. With some work on overall quickness and to shorten actions he will be more likely to remain up the middle. Overall, a potential standout offensive player with potential defensive versatility.

05/23/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Memorial Day Classic 18U Participant Has good hands to hit, worked barrel thru the zone well and showed extra base power. Tripled twice down the right field line from the left side of the plate, turned in 4.4 range. Made several nice plays at SS, showed range to glove side along with quick reactions and arm strength across the diamond. High energy player.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
