01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Cayden is a SS/1B prospect who showcased his skills during the Pre-Season Prospects Tournament. In the field, Cayden makes the routine plays and has a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate throws to his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Cayden field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with loose hands. He rotates his core through well and produces solid contact to all fields. Cayden can create more consistent contact by working through a more level swing path. Overall, Cayden is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/28/2020 - Winter Pro Training Experience - TX (HS) Cayden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. This weekend scouts noticed right away his readiness and the energy he displayed on the field. They say first impressions are everything and Cayden did a great job of this! In the field, he showed some serious hustle to balls and the ability to get rid of the ball makes him able to play any position in the infield. At the plate, he displayed the ability to go the other way in his game at-bats while spraying the balls around the field in his BP session. With a little more barrel intention, we can see Cayden posting big numbers in the future. Most importantly his mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. Overall, Cayden is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

10/18/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Tomball (Houston), TX Cayden is a SS prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, Cayden shows active footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He gets into a low position and fields with a firm glove. His exchange is smooth and he makes accurate, on-line throws across the diamond. Presenting his glove out in front to the ball can help Cayden field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and stays inside the ball well, spraying the ball to all fields. Cayden can be more controlled throughout his swing by developing a smoother load. Overall, Cayden is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

09/12/2020 - Fall Pro Training Experience - TX (HS) Cayden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls up and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

12/15/2018 - Texas Regional Offensive Skills Weekend (Ages 14-18) Cayden is a coachable SS prospect who worked hard during his time at the Texas Skills Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a narrow stance and takes a short stride. He is controlled getting his hands activated and rotates his core well, leading to solid contact. Driving his lower half more can help Cayden improve as a hitter. Overall, Cayden is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills at the plate.

07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Cayden showed solid defensive skills and hard work during his time at Pirate City. In the INF, Cayden has active feet, good range, and he covers ground well. He gains ground, has a clean exchange, and throws with a long arm action across the diamond. Offensively, Cayden has a tall/open stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has a short stride, swings on-plane, and uses some lower body. Cayden will continue to improve with added strength and continued reps.

05/06/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Houston, TX Cayden is a thin, athletic, infielder who plays SS and 1B. At SS, Cayden has fluid footwork, he fields in an athletic position, and he makes plays consistently. He plays through properly, has a clean exchange, and a loose arm action with consistency to his target. At 1B, Cayden moves well around the bag, he presents his glove well, and makes plays with accuracy across the diamond. Offensively, Cayden stands in athletically, he loads well, and tracks the ball to the barrel. He swings aggressively, has a direct barrel to the ball, and finishes his swing completely. Cayden can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
