11/18/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Fall Prospects Tournament (HS) Cayden is a C who will graduate in 2025. Good frame athletic build with strength present and room to add more strength. At C, active/efficient feet and presents a low target. Works around ball with good direction towards second base. Showed a quick arm with accurate/online throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity of 81 mph and a best pop time of 2.3 seconds. A right-handed hitter, hits from a wide and athletic stance. Simple load, with good rhythm, and a good bat angle at contact. Good contact hitter who recorded a bat exit velocity of 73 mph during his live game action. With continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball field.

07/22/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (MS) Cayden continues to shine on the diamond. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact and stays inside the ball through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 2 for 5 with a 2B and 4 BB. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times showed in the 2.41 range and will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a squared setup and presents a soft mitt out front and utilizes his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front.

06/25/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (MS) Cayden is a C/3B prospect who showcased his skills during the All-State Tournament. Behind the dish, Cayden shows active footwork and is agile moving to block. He sits in an athletic stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate/on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load well and hits against a strong front side. He works through a level swing and sprays the ball to all fields. With four more years to develop, Cayden has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Academic All-American Tournament (MS) Cayden is a class of 2025 C/3B prospect. He shows very good feel for the game at both positions. Behind the plate, he showed good footwork on throw downs and while blocking. Showed good feel for receiving as well as the ability to center the baseball when blocking. In the outfield, he showed good reads off the bat as well as the ability to track down fly balls to either side of him. At the plate, he showed off an advanced approach with a middle of the field focus. Starts in an open stance before striding back to a comfortable launch position. Does a good job of getting his barrel on plane early. Showed consistent hard contact. Cayden is a talented young prospect with a bright future that we hope to see more of soon.

01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (MS) Cayden continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive approach. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.31 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the ball quicker.

10/11/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Frisco (DFW), TX Cayden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Behind the plate, he presents a soft/sure mitt, sticking balls in the zone. He will benefit by utilizing his body more through the blocking process to center balls out front. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.52 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 3B, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he continues to improve foot quickness.

07/16/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Highland Park (DFW), TX Cayden raised arm velocity (62 MPH), exit velocity (62 MPH), and lowered pop times to 2.85 during his last workout with The Factory. Behind the plate, Cayden has active feet, soft hands, and he sits in low and athletically. He centers the ball well, gains ground, and throws with momentum and direction from a short arm action to 2nd base. At 1B, Cayden has good bag awareness and active feet. He covers ground, fields squarely, and throws with a loose arm action to his target. At the plate, Cayden has a tall/athletic stance, good balance, and fast bat speed. He has a direct swing path, works the ball gap to gap, and he can hit to all fields. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

12/15/2018 - Texas Offensive Skills and Pitching/Catching Combined Weekend Cayden is a coachable C prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Texas Skills Weekend. Behind the plate, Cayden sets up in a low primary stance and tracks the ball into his glove well. He gets into a low secondary stance and gains ground on his throws to 2B. He makes a quick exchange and create momentum well. He moves on time to block and takes good angles to the ball. Getting into his secondary stance sooner can help Cayden improve as a C. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets his hands activated on time and hits from a strong front side. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed which leads to consistent contact to all fields. Cayden can improve as a hitter by getting more extension through the ball. With six more years to develop, Cayden has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

01/06/2018 - Southwest Regional Accelerated Hitting Weekend (Ages 12-14) Cayden is a hard working and athletic 2025 prospect. He's a student of the game and made several adjustments during the Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend. Cayden starts in an athletic stance and has an open stride. Continuing to stride toward the pitcher and keeping his head down through contact will prevent him from leading with his elbow. He has a level swing and uses the lower half. Keeping good rhythm with his body and loading his hands into the drive position will allow him to drive the ball to all fields. Cayden will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/05/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Plano (DFW), TX Cayden is a young (2025 grad) R/R catcher. With the bat, this RHH displays a square setup with centered balance. He gets loaded, swings on a level path and engages his lower 1/2 well. Behind the plate, he sits in well and tracks pitches into his mitt. He sticks pitches and frames well. He is quick to his feet when he blocks balls in the dirt. Continuing to work on the following will help to improve his skills on the diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
