01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Chace is a standout SS prospect in the 2022 class that plays the game at a high level. At SS, active footwork allows him to show good glove side range. Glove is solid and quick hands initiate good DP feeds. He creates momentum into a quick release, throwing from multiple arm angles with accuracy. He shines at the plate, showing balance in the box with an approach that lets him hit to all fields. He has smooth/fluid rhythm through his load, keeping his weight centered. He lands and creates a firm front leg, with fast bat speed and an on-plane swing path, creating hard/consistent contact to all fields (exit velo = 88 mph). Chace is also a threat on the base paths, as he shows good hustle and stole two bases in the first game. Cinglie is a talented prospect with next level ability.

09/30/2020 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Chace is an athletic SS/2B who has a tremendous future on the diamond. In the MIF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Range is a plus (6.78 60 time) as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and on line carry (87 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (89mph exit velocity) and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 4 for 7 with a 2B and 2 RBI. Once on base, he is a very aggressive base runner that will take the extra base. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. He loves to play the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
