12/10/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Nyack (NYC), NY Chad is a skilled 2-way player (LHP/1B) who can swing the stick. Offensively, this left stands in with centered balance and rhythm in his hands. He takes a hack at pitches he likes, squares the ball up and engages his lower 1/2 well. At 1B, Chad hustles to his right and left and tracks GB's into his mitt. He moves well around the bag and can pick it. On the mound, this LHP has a 3-pitch mix coming from a 3/4 arm slot. He maintains fluid tempo, keeps his eyes on the target and repeats well. FB ranges from 62-64 mph while CB is at 56 mph. Continuing to work on the following will help aid in his development on the diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
