07/23/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14)
Chad is a coachable OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Chad shows efficient footwork and makes the routine plays. He throws from a 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Chad improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance with his hands held high. He gets into a simple load and takes a level swing, producing solid line drives. Chad can improve as a hitter by getting his stride foot down sooner. With four more years to develop, Chad has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Chad is a young, solid, 2-way player who plays OF and LHP. Defensively, Chad has a presentable glove, efficient footwork, and he covers ground well. He catches the ball at its highest point, his exchange is clean, and he throws with momentum and carry through to his cut off man. On the mound, this lefty pitcher has a quick arm circle, he separates his hands on time, and lands in a square position toward home plate. Offensively, Chad has an athletic stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has explosive bat speed, he makes hard/consistent contact, and he uses his lower body well. Overall skills can get better with work on the following.
1. Fielding position
2. Arm strength
2. Avoid diving to contact
