06/01/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West Chase is an athletic and strong 2020 OF prospect. In the OF, Chase is on time with his prep step, he creates good angles to the ball, and fields the ball in an athletic position. He works behind the ball, creates momentum in his lower half, and has a cannon for an arm. At the plate, Chase starts in an athletic stance, he loads his hands back into the drive position, and keeps a quiet head. He creates backside drive with his lower half, hits off a firm front side, and makes consistent hard contact. Chase looks to do damage on every pitch and shows pull side pop. Chase has tremendous upside and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
