Exclusive College Recruiting Program Chase is an offensive impact prospect who has the versatility to play all over the IF. Offensively, he has a powerful RH swing that generates exit velocities in the upper 80 MPH range consistently and peaks in the low to mid 90 mph range. The swing is geared to drive the ball to the middle of the field with doubles and HR power. Combined with a consistent approach and feel for his barrel Chase has produced at a very high level offensively. Defensively, he plays SS and shows the footwork and hands to stick on the IF with average arm strength. He is athletic and moves well to the baseball but may fit better as a 3b or 2b with a floor of moving to 1b. His athleticism and versatility allow for him to handle multiple positions on the dirt and offensively his bat will play wherever he fits defensively. There is still room to add strength to his frame and increase his power potential at the plate where he could eventually turn into a corner IF power bat player in the college level.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Chase continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At the plate, hitting / power potential is outstanding as he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack - crushing the ball to the deep parts of the park (exit velocity = 89 mph). At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He has plus lateral range, working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws zipping (81 mph velocity) across the diamond. Chase has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

04/11/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Greenville, SC Chase continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and is a prospect on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.31 runner. At the plate is where he has improved the most, now excellent hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is firm and presents out front. He moves well laterally, displaying range In the MIF. Throws are accurate with carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/23/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Chase continues to show a promising future on the diamond. In the MIF, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are aggressive in attacking balls but needs to play through more with his body. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turns of the double play. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and a great team player.

03/19/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Greenville, SC Chase is a 2B who will graduate in 2022. Defensively at 2B, he presents his hands as he gets into a square fielding position on Gb's. He has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. At the plate, this righty displays an athletic setup in the box. He shows good plate discipline and direction as he stays balanced throughout his swing. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Lateral quickness
2. Develop soft hands
3. Work around the ball
Offense
1. Develop rhythm
2. Improve bat speed
3. Lower 1/2 drive

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
