02/24/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Sioux Falls, SD Chase is a young, athletic, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Chase has quick footwork, agile movements to the ball, and he fields in a low/athletic position. He has soft/presentable hands, good range, and throws with accuracy from a quick release to his target. On the mound, Chase has a clean arm circle, a smooth delivery, and a controlled landing toward home plate. Offensively, Chase stands in the box athletically, he swings in good rhythm, and flashes fast bat speed. He has a direct barrel to the ball, gets solid extension through, and can work the ball gap to gap. Chase is a solid young player and can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
