09/30/2020 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Chase is an exciting player to watch as he shined during his time at the Arizona Fall Classic. Pure athleticism and speed set this OF apart. Defensively, he works lightly on the balls of his feet covering a ton of ground (60 yard = 6.59). Transfer is smooth with carry/strength/accuracy back into his target. Offensively, this righty maintains good balance with fluid rhythm to load. Hands are quick generating a ton of bat speed and connecting with pop as he hits the ball where it's pitched and drives it with good backspin. He is coachable, a good teammate and hustles all over the field. The future is very bright for this projectable 2022 grad.

06/23/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Frederick, MD Chase is an athletic OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the OF, Chase shows quick footwork and uses his plus speed to cover ground. He gets into an athletic position and fields ground balls out in front with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to consistent contact and good raw power. Overall, Chase is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Chase is an athletic OF prospect who showed well during the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the field, Chase shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets into a small load and hits against a strong front side. He rotates his core well and sprays the ball to all fields. Overall, Chase is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.

12/07/2019 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend (Ages 14-18) Chase is an OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed and good extension through the ball, leading to loud contact and line drives. Overall, Chase is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

09/01/2019 - College PREP - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Chase is an athletic OF prospect who will graduate in 2021. In the field, Chase shows efficient footwork and uses his speed to cover ground. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them consistently on-line to his target. Getting rid of the ball quicker can help Chase improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, leading to solid line drives. Chase can improve as a hitter by working on his contact points. Overall, Chase is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
