01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Chase is an OF/RHP prospect who showed well during the Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, Chase shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate/on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a short swing and produces strong line drives. On the mound, Chase gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He stays inline toward the plate and extends through his release, finishing with his chest over his front knee. Chase operates with a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 75mph. Breaking ball sits at 66mph with 10-4 break. Overall, Chase is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/20/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Daytona Beach, FL Chase is a tall, lean OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls and plays with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 63-68 mph. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run but throws too hard resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 6 years to further develop, Chase has a lot of potential with time and room to improve his game.

09/29/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Sanford (Orlando), FL Chase is an athletic, 2-way player who plays OF and RHP. Defensively, Chase has active feet to the ball, he moves with good agility, and he fields athletically. He makes plays, his exchange is clean, and he throws with momentum and accuracy from a loose arm to his cut off man. On the mound, Chase has good balance, he separates his hands on time, and lands with a proper length stride toward the plate. Offensively, this RHH has a square stance, he loads well, and gets the bat through the zone. He makes consistent contact and can spray the ball to all fields. Overall skills can improve if Chase can work on the following.

Outfield
1. Pre-pitch actions
2. Arm strength
Pitching
1. Finish
2. AA
Offense
1. Stride
2. Rhythm

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
